Company History

GBI Partners, L.P. was founded in 1997 as Gene Baker Inc. Under the direction of Eugene R. Baker, GBI Partners, L.P. re-launched in 2003 as the demand for high quality surveying services grew. Today GBI Surveying employs more than 30 people including nine field crews.

GBI Surveying has a strong history of providing support for civil-engineering and land development firms in Texas. Over the years, GBI has positioned itself as the leading surveying resource for various award-winning Texas master planned communities such as Missouri City's Sienna Plantation, Richmond's Canyon Gate at the Brazos, Sugar Land's Telfair and The Woodlands.


The Best In Technology
GBI Surveying invests in technology to guarantee that we can offer our clients the most efficient results. Our accuracy is possible by utilizing Leica Total Stations; SubSurface Instrument Inc., Pipe & Cable locators; and Leica System 1200 Global Positioning Systems in conjunction with MicroStation, Eagle Point and AutoCAD.

Each surveying crew is equipped with a Sprint Mobile Broadband Connection Card, allowing immediate data transfers from field to office.


Commitment To Safety
GBI Surveying believes in creating the safest work environment for its employees. Because our company is highly safety-conscious, each individual is thoroughly trained to follow our safety manual. GBI has not had a reportable OSHA incident in the past five years of operation due to our emphasis on safety.
