Company History

GBI Partners, L.P. was founded in 1997 as Gene Baker Inc. Under the direction of Eugene R. Baker, GBI Partners, L.P. re-launched in 2003 as the demand for high quality surveying services grew. Today GBI Partners employs more than 40 people including eight field crews.

GBI Partners has a strong history of providing support for civil-engineering and land development firms in Texas. Over the years, GBI has positioned itself as the leading surveying resource for various award-winning Texas master planned communities such as Missouri City’s Sienna Plantation, Lakes at Creekside, Tavola, Sugar Land’s Telfair, Park at Klein and Tamarron.

GBI Partners invests in technology to guarantee that we can offer our clients the most efficient results. Our accuracy is possible by utilizing all Leica Viva Equipment including TS12 Robotics, in conjunction with CS15 Controllers, and the GNSS, GS12 and GS14 Receivers which are based off Leica’s SmartNet. MicroStation, Eagle Point and AutoCAD are utilized in office to support field efforts to create a superior product for our clients.

Each surveying crew is equipped with a Verizon Mobile Broadband Connection Card, allowing immediate data transfers from field to office.

Commitment To Safety

GBI Partners strives to create a safe and efficient work environment for their employees. GBI Partners does so through emphasis of two major pillars: prevention, and action.  Both of which are the focus points in our safety manual.  Prevention, which includes education, creates the foundation for a safe environment. However, GBI recognizes that situations occur in which the safety of their employees is compromised, and stresses the importance of the second pillar: action. GBI Partners implements their safety guide with the goal of reducing work related incidents and ensuring the well-being of its employees.
